Loyd Denver Bottoms, 80, passed away Monday, May 20, 2013. Graveside service: 10 a.m. Friday in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home
<br><br>Loyd was born June 3, 1932, in Denton to the late Loyd Franklin and Linnie Bottoms.
<br>He was a member of the VFW, American Legion Post 516, Shriners and the Masonic Lodge.
<br>He owned and operated Denver's Glass and Upholstery for 30 years.
<br>He was preceded in death by infant son, Dennie Jack Bottoms, and stepfather, Arther Gober.
<br>Survivors: Wife, Nell Bottoms; son, Carl Laid and wife, Peggy; three grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and half-sister, Pauline Keeter and husband, Robert.
