Harold "Hank" D.Dameron, Sr. (October 30, 1943 - November 6, 2012)

Retired 1st SGT Harold D. Dameron (Hank) of Ft. Worth, TX, went in the arms of the Lord on November 6th, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
<br>Open visitation for friends and family will be Saturday, November 10th from 8a.m.-5p.m. at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel, 7301 E. Lancaster Ave., Ft. Worth, TX 76112.
<br>He will have a full military burial, Tuesday, November 13th at 2p.m. at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. 
<br><br>
Hank dedicated 26 years to the United States Army. He was modest and would allow his uniform to speak for itself. He was awarded the Bronze star with oak leaf cluster, Purple Heart, and numerous other medals, campaign ribbons and recommendations. He was the Epitome of an NCO. He was an outstanding Non-Commissioned officer, a professional Soldier and an exemplary Husband, Father and Grandfather.

Hank was a life time member of the VFW, and a 40 year member to the American Legion. With the last 14 years, being an active member at post 516 in Ft. Worth. He was preceded in death by parents; Jessie Lee and Edna (Faught) Dameron and siblings; Cathy Sue, Doris Jean, and Walter Ray.

He is survived by wife of 33 years, Deborah Dameron, children; Charles "Buddy" Dameron (Traci), Fawn Ellston (Michael), and Harold 'Mike' Dameron, siblings; Glenda Gleeson, Kenneth Dameron, Judy Walsh, and Auburn Dameron and his beloved grandchildren that meant the world to him; Savannah Ellston, Michael, Lazarus, ShyAnne, and Breyden Dameron.

<br>Debbie, Christie told me this morning that First Sergeant Dameron passed away. I am very sad to hear this and wish you and your family comfort and peace during this time. I will always remember you for teaching me to put the toilet paper on the roll correctly. :) you treated me like your own when Fawn and I were growing up. Even made me help with chores. Lol.
